FOUND SOME BLACK BOOTS!!!

That would be both comfortable and pretty, to wear with both trousers and skirts, for both parties and work - best boots ever.

£120 though, from Office. They didn’t have my size (i’m a 5 and I guess they’re selling like hot buns), but I shall return mwahahaha!

Socks reinvented?!

imag0005.JPGI was in Covent Garden this afternoon to do a spot of shopping and went to a shop I always pass by thinking it looks great, without ever entering it.

The shop is called Tabio, and it’s got to be the best sock shop in London and beyond. I was actually looking for black, above-the-knee socks and was distracted by a phone call when choosing them so ended up getting normal ones. Over-the-knee socks are cool to wear with a miniskirt or shorts, with boots or heels for a cheeky schoolgirl effect, or just under a pair of trousers when it’s chilly outside, so you don’t have to wear tights, even in the winter.

Anyway I picked up a pair of ove the knees socks / leg warmers with a lovely lacy detail at the top, and a pair of patterned socks with a bow, which will look incredibly cool with a skirt and a pair of heels. See below (apologies for the pedicure in bright red, when the leg warmers are actually pink!).

And for those who don’t live in London, check out http://tabio.com/uk/

Is it me or is it impossible to find nice boots?

Basically I want to find some nice, over the knee, black boots which don’t look slutty and don;t have a very high heel so they are manageable and I can actually wear them without causing myself multiple fracture.

To my horror, a quick browse on e-bay returned the following selection: a pair of size 7 white boots, a pair of tacky, pointy boots with a killer 4-inches heel, a pair of old, size 8 cavalier boots, and various other ‘beauties’ not even worth a mention.

Conclusion: I need to learn to be flexible if what I want to wear doesn’t actually exist, and will stick to under-the-knee lovelies
